Keep This In Mind: The transmission will automatically upshift when necessary to prevent engine overspeed. Your AutoStick automatic transmission will remain in the same gear until the driver chooses another gear. ![]() ![]() While in AutoStick mode, the transmission of your Dodge will shift up or down when plus (+) or minus (-) are manually selected using the shift lever - unless an engine lugging or overspeed condition would result. When the AutoStick transmission is activated, an indicator will be displayed on your instrument cluster showing the current transmission gear. To engage AutoStick, move the shift lever to the left while still in the DRIVE position. When the shift lever is in the DRIVE position, your transmission shifts automatically, shifting between the six available gears.
